Bulldogs sweep Trojans, 30-5 and 12-2

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs swept the Mississippi Delta Community College Trojans 30-5 and 12-2 in MACCC action.

Holmes is scheduled to host East Central on Saturday at 2/5 p.m.

In game one, Ethan Trimble got the start and picked up the win. He went six innings and gave up five runs on nine hits with three strikeouts and one walk. Eli Lowe went one inning in relief and had one walk.

Thomas Kuhn led the Bulldogs with four hits including two doubles. Hunter Azemar, Brenden Skirtech and Landon Wallace each had three hits with Azemar adding a two-run homerun, Skirtech adding a triple and Wallace adding two doubles. Nicolas Schwing and Cade Clinton each had two hits with Clinton adding two doubles and Schwing adding one. Brandt Dickerson had a triple.

In game two, John Paul Buckner got the start and picked up the win. He went all five innings and gave up two runs on four hits with six strikeouts and two walks.

Azemar, Xavier Myles, Sam Roy and Will McClure each had two hits with Azemar adding a two-run homerun and Myles adding two doubles and Roy one.
