Twins Fall to Hornets in Home Opener

The Twin's Women's soccer team opened the regular season at home on Saturday. They took on the SUNY Broome Hornets in a Regional matchup.

The game started with some back and forth before the Hornets struck first with a goal in the first five minutes of play. The Hornets scored two more in the first 15 minutes to take an early 3-0 lead. The Twins held them scoreless the rest of the half.The Hornets scored a quick goal to open the second half and take a commanding lead over the Twins. The Twins continued to fight but ultimately fell to the Hornets by a final score of, 6-0. The Twins finished with four shots on goal.

Sophomore Keegan Deyo had a busy day as the Twin's goalkeeper. Deyo made 25 saves on 31 shots against her.

The Twins are on the road for their next contest. They will be traveling to Corning Community College to take on the Red Barons for the first time this season. This game will take play August 31st at 2 pm.

Make sure to mark your calendars for the Twins next home game September 1st. They will be taking on Jamestown Community College at 1 pm.
