Legends Men’s Golf take first at Marauder Invite.

Alexandria College Legends Men's golf team ended the 2023 fall season with a 1st place finish at the Marauder Invitational at Hawktree Golf Club, Bismarck, N.D. on October 2-3.

The Legends battled hard against Minot State University, University of Mary, University of Jamestown, Valley City State, and Mayville State during the two-day event.

"We started not so great on the second day," said Brady Schwinghammer (Belgrade), Legends golfer and business management student. "I'm glad we all kept our heads in the game and battled through and finished strong. Going four under in our last two holes was very impressive."

The Legends went 4 under par in the last two holes with four birdies to win the tournament by 1 stroke.

"The team motto all year has been, it's not how you start, it's how you finish, and this tournament is the perfect example of that," said Scott Dirck, Legends Golf coach. "The guys worked hard all fall and this was a great way to end the season. We are looking forward to spring."
