SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College of William and Mary Women's Basketball team moves to 8-0 overall, 4-0 in conference play after traveling to Guilford Technical Community College Monday evening.
The Statesmen opened the first quarter outscoring the Titans 24-9 and carried a commanding 44-16 lead into the half. The Statesmen added 18 in the third quarter and concluded the game with a 85-38 conference win on the road to remain undefeated.
Three Statesmen scored double-digit figures in the win. Auzhane Allard led the way for the Statesmen with her fourth double-double of the season tallying 28 points, 16 rebounds, four assists, four blocks, and two steals. Courtney Scott added 18 points, six rebounds, five assists, three steals, and two blocks. Janiah Jones chipped in with 13 points, five assists, two rebounds, and two steals in the win.
Richard Bland went 63.3% from the charity stripe, 48.6% from the field, and 35.3% at the perimeter.
The Richard Bland College women's basketball team next hosts Fayetteville Technical Community College on Friday, December 9th. The conference contest is set to tip-off at 6pm.
