Women's Basketball Opens Season with Road win at Clinton

Plattsburgh, NY - Alexandra DeBeatham (Menands, NY) and Junasia Lanier (Albany, NY) scored 15 points apiece to lead the Herkimer Generals to an 82-39 win over the Clinton Community College Cougars on Sunday afternoon in Plattsburgh, NY. Herkimer moves to 1-0 on the season as well as 1-0 in the Mountain Valley Conference.

DeBeatham and Lanier led 5 scorers in double figures for Herkimer. Sophomore Brittani Campbell (Rochester, NY) added 12 points while Alysia Roldan (East Greenbush, NY) and Amber Been (Bronx, NY) chipped in with 11 and 10 points respectively.

Next up for the Generals is a short trip to Utica, NY on Wednesday night, Nov 6 to take on their rivals from Mohawk Valley Community College. Game time is set for 6:00 PM at the MVCC Gym.
