The Highland Men's Basketball team came alive in the second half cruising their way to an 88-59 victory over Graceland University JV Friday night in Lamoni, IA to get win number 13 on the season.
 
A back a fourth first half had Highland taking a three-point lead into the locker room at the break. Coach Cole's halftime speech worked and Highland came out firing in the second out-scoring the Yellowjackets 54-28.
 
Holden Redparth posted his second consecutive double-double and fifth of the season with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Redparth went 4-7 form three-point land and also added in four steals. Jarvis Johnson was the only other Scottie to score in double figures Friday night as he dropped 12 points.
 
The rest of the offense was made up of a balanced attack from four players who scored eight points and one at nine points. Kevin Perry scored nine points, grabbed four rebounds and blocked three shots, tying his career high in blocks. Both Alonzo Williams and DJ Doakes scored eight points and each had nine rebounds in the game. Taiveyhon Mason finished with eight points and dished out four assists and Ryan Haskins added in eight points of his own.
 
The Scotties forced 21 Yellowjacket turnovers and got 13 steals on the night. Highland won the rebounding battle as well pulling down 45 to Graceland's 26.
 
Highland takes on Southeast Community College on Wednesday, January 17 for their second matchup of the season. The Scotties were victorious in the first game in Beatrice, NE 94-68 and look to handle the Storm in similar fashion Wednesday night. That game is set for a 7:30pm tip.
