(August 26, 2023) Mena, Arkansas - The long wait from fall-to-fall is over. The ladies have been training for nearly a month and finally were able to compete against outside compeition this morning at the Lion's Club. UA Rich Mountain hosted its normal early season race this morning to beat the heat. 

The Bucks were joined by Carl Albert State College and National Park College. There was a total of 13 runners in the women's 5K race.

The ladies were led by Jadelynn Wood (Mansfield, AR) with a fourth place time of 24:55.5. She was followed by Karen Campos (Pittsburg, TX) and Adriana Montiel (De Queen, AR). The ladies finished sixth and seventh with times of 25:56.4 and 26:46.0.

The Lady Vikings of Carl Albert took the team title to begin the season.

The Bucks return to the course next Saturday at the University of Central Arkansas. It will be another early morning start for the Bucks.
