Ocelots Advance to Region 12 Championship

MARYSVILLE, MI – The Ocelots kicked off postseason play hosted at St. Clair by squaring off against Ancilla College who the Ocelots beat 6-0 earlier in the year.

The Ocelots would come out firing right from kick off. In the 1^st half, Schoolcraft posted 8 shots while the Ancilla keeper would stop all 8 of the shots. Fredi Mece got the start in net for Schoolcraft and would stop the lone shot on goal he would see.

Coming out of the halftime, Schoolcraft was still looking for the 1^st goal of the game. It would take until the 75^th minute when Ziad Barakat would score his 6^th goal of the year shortly after an Ancilla plyer was shown a red card. The goal would open from there as the Ocelots would score 2 more times in the game. Pablo Martin would extend the lead in the 82^nd minute and Nino Schembri would score the 3^rd goal of the game in the 83^rd minute.

Fredi Mece would stop both shots he would see while on his way to his 1^st win of the season.

Schoolcraft moves on to the Region 12 final tomorrow still awaiting their opponent. Schoolcraft will face the winner of St. Clair and Grand Rapids at 12:00 PM.
