Men's tennis to play in all finals after great regional first day

  Glendale, AZ – The Mesa men's tennis team will compete in the finals of every flight Wednesday at the Region I championships after an outstanding day of semi-finals Tuesday.

"Great first day as we came ready to play, said head coach Feroz Rast. "Everyone played under control and focused. Beto Carlon set the tone for us early as he dominated the first match of the day in straight sets. The momentum of the singles matches really helped us take control and push ahead going into doubles. I like how we communicated and moved on the court during doubles. Great results today but the job is not done. We have a very strong Pima team ahead of us tomorrow and we have to come out ready for that challenge." 

  The Regional is being played at the Paseo Tennis Center.
