Beach Volleyball Competes at Lynchburg Tournament
SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College Beach Volleyball team traveled to the University of Lynchburg on Friday and Saturday afternoon, for a two-day tournament. On Friday, the Statesmen faced Southern Virginia University and hosts, Lynchburg. On Saturday, the Statesmen competed against Stevenson University and Liberty University. After conclusion of the weekend, Richard Bland has moved to 4-8 overall on the season.
In dual one on Friday, the Statesmen fell to the Knights of Southern Virginia University, 2-3.
Pair 1: Phoebe Heath & Gabrielle Meador fell to the Knights 12-21 and 20-22.
Pair 2: Alexis Scipione & Taelin Connolley defeated the Knights 21-18 and 21-17.
Pair 3: Braelyn Boyd & Rachel Pickens fell to the Knights 12-21 and 20-22.
Pair 4: Peyton Ostenson & Rachelle Martin defeated the Knights 21-9 and 21-15.

In dual two on Friday, the Statesmen fell to the Hornets of the University of Lynchburg, 0-5.
