Reivers remain flawless at home

COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA. - Iowa Western has a 7 game winning streak after defeating Central Community College in three-straight sets on Friday night. The Reivers started out on fire with a 12-point lead in the first set, finishing  25-7. The Raiders remained resilient and cotinine to push, but not enough to dominate the currently ranked No.2 in the following two sets, 25-20 and 25-15.

 

Setter, Hina Pua'a set up the offense with 35 assists. The Reivers were led offensively by Kortlyn Henderson, who notched 12 kills followed by Irina Alekseeva with 8. Savannah Downing paced the defense by picking up 11 digs while Morgan Bossler posted 2 blocks for the Reivers.

The Reivers will hit the road on Friday to play in the Blue Dragon Classic at Hutchinson, KS, where the National Tournament will reside in less than two months.
