Cannoneers Beat Red Barons at Buzzer

The Cannoneers traveled to Corning on Saturday and came away with an exciting 86-83 win.  The whole game was closely contested and after the first half the score was 35-34 Red Barons.  Eli Parrilla would hit a bank 3-point shot just before the halftime buzzer to cut the lead to one and give us a glimpse of what would happen at the end of the game.  

To start the second half the Cannoneers would come out strong, only to see the Red Barons fight back and tie the game with 8 seconds left.  The ball would be inbounded to Isiah Murphy who would drive the ball to the foul line and make a pass to Howard Turner, who in turn would heave up a 3-point shot that would bank in for the win at the final buzzer.

It was great team effort as Isiah Murphy would lead the way with 22 points.  Elijah Parrilla would add 17 points, with Jeremiah Smith adding 16 points and Howard Turner hitting the game winner while adding 16 points to the cause.
