Northeast women cruise over North Platte on Monday night

The Hawks (22-3, 2-1 ICCAC) held the Knights to just 26 percent shooting from the field, while allowing no more than 15 points in each quarter, including just eight points in the third quarter. Northeast also held North Platte's leading point scorer to four points in the contest.
Kyla Moore (Norfolk, Neb.) recorded 24 points and four steals. Emina Hadzihusejnovic (Mostar, Bosnia) chipped in 14 points and four rebounds, while Beth Matas (Girona, Spain) added 11 points, six assists and five boards.
Northeast managed to shoot 48 percent from the field, while out-rebounding the Knights, 43-22.
The Hawks battle in-state foe, Southeast Community College at 5 p.m. Wednesday in Norfolk.
