RedTail Softball Kick Off Fall 2023 Season with Doubleheader
The RedTail Softball lost to Mount Mercy in the first scrimmages of the season.
The RedTails had a tough Saturday, taking two losses against the Mustangs. The first game was close, ending in a 4-3 Mustang win. The second game the RedTails put their full effort in but lost, 9-1.
Head coach Courtney Calkins had some uplifting words to say after Saturday's scrimmage.
"It was great to finally get the team on the field for the first time for our program's very first scrimmage," she said. "There were definitely a lot of good things that came out of today, and we are excited to get back into practice next week to continue to grow a s players and fine tune some details, there are many things to look forward to with this team and I am so excited to see how our team continues to learn and grow before official season begins in the spring."
The RedTails next scrimmages are Sunday, September 10, at Culver-Stockton College starting at 12:00pm and Friday, September 15, at Waldorf College starting at 5:00pm.
