Jefferson Men's Soccer Week's Recap

Jefferson Men's Soccer started their season on the road against nationally ranked Herkimer College.  Plagued by injuries, the boys held their head high when Herkimer handed them their first defeat 9-0.  Next was their home opener against SUNY Broome.  The boys bounced back from Herkimer with a 4-0 win against the Hornets.  Santiago Hernandez led the team with 2 goals and 1 assist, while Matt Kimball and Alejandro Rojas each added a goal for Jefferson.  Khwezi Pezisa and Jake Harris also assisted.  Shareef Stokely had 7 saves in goal.  Next up for the Cannoneers were the Hudson Valley Vikings.  Both teams fought a hard battle but ended the game with a 1-1 tie in double overtime.  Jacob Reynolds scored the lone goal for Jefferson, while Santiago Hernandez added the assist.  Shareef Stokely had 12 saves in goal.  The boys will travel to Finger Lakes Community College on Wednesday, September 14th, game is set to start at 6:30 pm.
