Niagara County Community College shot a blistering 63 percent from the field on its way to a big 116-74 non-conference win at Finger Lakes Community College on Tuesday night.
NCCC, which is ranked No. 7 in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll, improved to 6-0 overall while the Lakers fell to 0-7.
N-Trip freshman JaVaughn Jones was 9-for-10 from the field, including 4-for-4 from the 3-point line, on his way to a career-high 22 points.
Also for the Thunderwolves, sophomores Allen Fordham and Lamar Lovelace scored 18 points, classmate Taylor Sanders had 16 and second-year swingman Aaron Miller finished with 14.
The T-Wolves canned 15 3-pointers and had 26 assists in the win. Alex Hill scored 16 points for FLCC.
