LaShomb Shines in Tribs 21-2 Win with a 6 Goal Performance

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Number 3 Ranked Monroe Community College Tribunes started their five-game homestand with a win over the Finger Lakers Community College Lakers. The Tribs won 21-2. 

The Tribunes scored ten unanswered to start the first quarter. Jillian Kordas scored one, two minutes into the game. Kalani Thomas scored the next one for the Tribunes. Lena LaShomb scored 3 of her six goals in the first quarter. Christina Carleton, Kate Oxley, Jillian Kordas, Skye Gaudio, and Katie Bootes all scored in the first quarter as well. Kalani Thomas scored early into the second quarter and FLCC's Marissa Russell scored one also. MCC scored three more throughout the second quarter thanks to Lena LaShomb, Skye Gaudio, and Angelina Soeffing. 

After the halftime break, the Tribs scored four more in the third quarter. Kalani Thomas, Lena LaShomb, Luciana Dodge, and Kate Oxley all netted one in the third. At the start of the fourth quarter, Marissa Russell was able to score another for FLCC. Ashleigh Augustine, Lena LaShomb, and Kalani Thomas all managed to score for the Tribunes. The game finished with a score of 21-2 thanks to Lena LaShomb's six-goal performance and Kate Oxley's seven-point performance. 

The #3 Ranked Tribunes are seeking another win as they defend their home turf on April 14 at 1:30 against Anne Arundel Community College.
