Gaston College falls in opening duals of the 2023 season

The Gaston College beach volleyball season opened on Tuesday in 5-0 losses in both duals to four-year Saint Andrews University.

"It was a disappointing season opener for all pairs," Rhinos coach Rachel Noreika said. "We lost both sets and I don't think anyone played well.
"We struggled to find our rhythm, were plagued by unforced errors and first game nerves. But, we now have one under our belt and everyone feels motivated to work hard and get better. We're looking forward to another chance to play Saint Andrews at home on April 5th."

Gaston College returns to action on Friday and Saturday with four matches at Bryant & Stratton College in Virginia Beach, Va.

The Rhinos will meet Wake Tech, Stevenson, Richard Bland and Bryant & Stratton in matches that will begin at 9 a.m.
