The Lakeland men's basketball team traveled to Hocking College and suffered their first defeat of the season falling 90-79 to the Hawks. With the loss, Lakeland falls to 16-1 (6-1). The road-weary Lakers were never able to get into a rhythm as early foul trouble plagued them. Lakeland missed 15 lay-ups and 10 free throws in what was a difficult day for them.

Chaze Harris led the Lakers in scoring with 16 points (14 in the second half) despite fouling out of the game. Jaidon Lipscomb finished with 15 points after hitting 4 3-pointers in the 3rd quarter. Noah Berry, Kyle Jackson, and Ansy Oulare each finished with 9 points.

Hunter's Highlights: "It was a very physical game and we just came out on the wrong end. We had some chances that we were unable to convert. We have to get back at it on Monday and re-focus. I like our team - we are very capable. We will get back to work and get better."

Next Up: The Lakers will play host to the Terra State Titans on Wednesday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
