Legends Men’s Golf continue setting new records as the season goes on.

Alexandria College Legends Men's golf team broke its team score record, again, while taking 2nd place at the North Central District Fall Preview at Gates Park Golf Course in Waterloo, Iowa, on September 13.

The Legends shot one under par for a team score of 287, 10 strokes lower than the record-breaking score the Legends had in the Minnesota Golf Classic four days prior.

This year the Legends Golf team was moved to the North Central District.  The North Central District Fall Preview marks the team's first appearance in the district, and the Legends came out to show their competitors that Alexandria College is a force to be reckoned with.  

The Legends missed first place by only two strokes against the national champion Kirkwood Community College Golf team. Legends Nixon Harrier, Hank Sogge, and Brady Schwinghammer all placed in the top 10 individually.

"I can't wait to see where we are at in the spring by the time the region tournament comes around," said Maggie Slagle, Legends Golf coach.

The Legends Men's Golf team will hit the road to compete in the St. John's University Invitational, a two-day event at St. Cloud Country Club Golf Course in St. Cloud, Minn., and at Blackberry Ridge Golf Course in Sartell, Minn., September 25 to 26.
