RedTail Women’s Golf Competes in Wartburg Fall Invite

The RedTails traveled to Waverly and competed in a two-day invite on Saturday, September 9, and Sunday, September 10.
RedTails finished with a total team score of 714, placing them in 15th out of 17 teams. Chase Doland shot a low of 173, placing 73rd individually. Doland was followed by Olivia Hammel who placed 79th with a score of 177. Lakota Moses shot a score of 183, taking 81st. Libby Larkin was one stroke behind Moses with a total of 184, tying for 82nd place, and Lauren Funk tied for 94, shooting a total of 198. Competing individually was Bailey Nuss shooting 202 and Calli Thome with a total score of 203.
Head coach Micah Destival had some positive words to say after the weekend.
"We did some good things the last two days and enjoyed some great weather to play Prairie Links," he said. "This was by far the best field we will play this year so it was nice for the women to see where they stack up against four-year schools." "We have a big week ahead and looking forward to seeing what we can do."
The RedTails next invite will be on Monday, September 11, for the Iowa Central Invite. Following will be the Battle of Waterloo on Friday and Saturday, September 15-16.
