Volleyball Blanks Tompkins Cortland

The Volleyball team hosted their POD on Saturday and defeated Tompkins Cortland, but fell to Broome and Corning.

In the first match of the day, the Lady Raiders played Corning and they came out strong in the first set with a 25-22 win.  Corning got the best of FM in the final three sets; 25-16, 25-14, and 25-22. Macenzie Ward led with 13 kills and 14 digs.  Olivia Casey followed with 7 kills and 12 digs. Emily Mornando tallied 20 assists.

In the second match, FM blanked Tompkins Cortland 3-0; 25-17, 25-16, and 25-17.  Ward led once again with 12 kills and Mormando with 23 assists.

In the final match, The Lady Raiders fell to a very good Broome team. The Hornets topped FM; 25-18, 25-18, and 25-9. Casey had 19 digs to lead FM.

The Lady Raiders will host SUNY Adirondack at 6pm on Wednesday, September 25th
