The Barton Community College women's swimming team concluded the third day of the NJCAA National Swimming and Diving Championships with four podium finishes Friday evening.

Remaining in fourth place in the team standings, the Cougars will look to rally in final day action trialing third place Iowa Central Community College by 56 points and second place Southwestern Oregon Community College by 97 points.

Final day action is scheduled to get underway Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. (CT) from the Anne Wilder Aquatic Complex held in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Olivia Kerr, Cindy Broadrick and Dominique Cos collected the lone individual podium finishes while Barton produced nine new personal bests and five new top-10 program times of which two rewrote in the evening's finals.

Kerr notched the highest individual finish with a sixth place showing in the 100-breaststroke as the freshman topped her prelim time by .25 seconds clocking a 1:09.00. Cos fell one spot back and .81 ticks behind Kerr with a 1:09.81 falling 1.52 seconds back of her sixth fastest prelim stoppage of 1:08.29.

Cindy Broadrick continued her exceptional week in the waves notching her second podium finish as the freshman scooped a seventh-place 200-butterfly appearance. Constructing the seventh best prelim time of 2:16.41, Broadrick perfected her mark in the evening's finals with a personal best 2:14.90 falling .13 seconds off the school record.

Barton's highest finish came in the final event of the evening posting a fourth place finish in the 200-medlay relay as Broadrick, Cos, Linda Franco and Mikwena Lierman clocked a 1:51.99 falling .77 ticks off their personal best time.
