Atlantic Cape Buccaneers Plunge To The Jersey Blues

Lincroft, NJ - The Atlantic Cape Community College Buccaneers plunged to the Brookdale Jersey Blues men's basketball team, 87-66, for a conference win while remaining undefeated.

Dominating the scorebook was sophomore forward/center, Darnell Askew, with 17 points and four blocks as he ranks 8th in the NJCAA DIII list of block leaders. Trailing a point behind with a double-double was sophomore forward, Manny Bell, with 16 points and 10 rebounds as freshman forward, Savon Myers, connected for 14 points. Another double-doubler was freshman forward/center Phillip Byrd, who posted 11 points and 10 rebounds, and sophomore point guard, Kareem Irby, affixed 10 points with five assists.

The 17-0 Jersey Blues will travel to conference opponent, RCSJ-Gloucester Roadrunners, on Saturday, January, 27th, at 2:00pm.
