Cannoneers Lose Close Game to Corning

After a 35-day hiatus from game competition, the Cannoneers would finally get to play.  In a closely fought game, the Red Barons of Corning defeated the Cannoneers by the score of 71-68.  The game was close throughout with neither team taking more than an 8-point lead and the game having numerous lead changes.  After the first half, it was Corning taking a 30-26 into the break.  The second half would be just as close and the Cannoneers would have 2 great looks to tie the game in the last 12 seconds, only to see the shots go in and out.

Leading the way for the Cannoneers were Isiah Murphy with 26 points and 9 rebounds.  Eric Eastham and Matthew Brown would chip in with 11 points apiece.  Next up, Genesee CC on Wednesday night.
