# 2 HERKIMER COMES BACK TO BEAT MONROE CC

Herkimer, NY - Using a big second half rally, the Herkimer Generals came from 14 down early in the second half to defeat Division II Monroe Community College by a score of 84-77 in the first game of the Philly Classic at Herkimer College. The comeback win boosts the Generals record to 11-1 on the year.

Playing for the first time since December 8th, Herkimer, who is ranked # 2 in the latest NJCAA Division III National Poll, found themselves down 52-38 with 17 minutes to go in the second half before going on a big run to catch, and eventually surpass, the Tribunes. Derrick Felder (Yonkers, NY) led the way with 31 points, including 9-11 from the free throw line to close the game out for Herkimer. Arnold Agard (Brooklyn, NY) added 15 points, including 2 big 2 pointers in the first half to keep the Generals in reach of Monroe. Keshaun Howard (Brooklyn, NY) came off the bench to add 13 points, 10 of which came in the second half, and Teshaun Beckles (Bronx, NY) scored 12 points to round out the 4 Generals who scored in double figures.

Herkimer is back at it on Sunday in Day 2 of the Philly Classic, as they will host another Division 2 school, this time from Niagara County Community College. Game time is set for 2:00 PM in Herkimer's Varsity Gym
