SFCC defeats Southeastern

The Lady Roadrunners traveled to Keokuk, Iowa, Dec. 3 to take on the Southeastern Community College Lady Blackhawks. SFCC (7-5) outscored Southeastern 19-6 in the third quarter and emerged with a 74-67 victory. 

Sophomore guard Alexis Cowan led three Lady Roadrunners in double figures with 20 points. She made eight of 11 from the field and knocked down all three of her three-point shots. Freshman guard Ren'Cia Rolling contributed 16 points. Rolling dished out a team-high eight assists and led in steals with four. Sophomore guard Danaé Cole added 15 points making six of 10 shots from the field. Freshman guard Takayla Gunter pulled down a team-high six rebounds. 

The Lady Roadrunners will close out the first semester on Dec. 7 against the St. Louis Community College Lady Archers. This will be the first game of Missouri Community College Athletic Conference play for the Lady Roadrunners. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
