Lady Yetis win 2-1 over Fayetteville Tech

CCC split with Fayetteville Tech Community College in a doubleheader matchup on April 27, 2024.

In the first game, Fayetteville Tech Community College shut out Cleveland CC with a final score of 4-0. The winning pitcher, Tamarah Lowery, pitched a complete game, allowing only three hits and striking out two batters. 

In the second game, Cleveland bounced back with a dominant 13-3 victory. Cleveland's offense exploded for 17 hits, led by Christian Beaver, who had six RBIs, including a home run. Sayge Strange pitched a solid game, allowing three runs on seven hits.

In the third game of the series on April 28, 2024, Cleveland emerged victorious with a final score of 6-0. Cleveland's offense was led by Jaylen Ledbetter, Christian Beaver, and Riley Parker, who each contributed with RBIs. Pitcher Sayge Strange had a strong performance, pitching 4 innings and allowing no runs.

Fayetteville Tech struggled to get its offense going, managing only 6 hits and failing to score any runs. Overall, Cleveland CC's strong offensive performance and solid pitching led them to a shutout victory over Fayetteville Tech. 

Softball will play in the Region 10 Tournament on Thursday, May 2, at 1 pm, against Richard Bland College. All games will be livestreamed on Louisburg College's Official YouTube Channel.
