RedTail Women Sail to Victory in Jack Jennett Invitational
On Friday January 19, 2024 the RedTail Women's track team competed at the Jack Jennett Invitational meet held at the UNI Dome in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
Freshman Amner Homan finished first in the 600m(1:46.86).
In the 60m hurdles Brooklyn Halbach scored fifth place(10.53), her teammate Kallie Mincks followed in sixth(10.59).
All-American sophomore Abby Bartz took fifth in shot put with a distance of 12.28m, as well as eighth place in weight throw with a distance of 14.64m.
Kendall See, achieved a PR of 29.85 in the 200m and scored in the top 20, Gracie Rath also finished in the top 20 with a time of (30.46).
"Overall, I was pleased with our first performance of the year. This sets a baseline performance and we will try to better our marks each week." Coach Scott Roberts had this to say about the team's inaugural performance.
