Two singles teams and one doubles team capture national championships

Tiger tennis team gets off to good start at national tournament

The No. 2-ranked Cowley College men's tennis team won five of six singles matches before the rain came down Tuesday at the NJCAA Division I Men's National Tennis Championships in Plano, TX. The inclement weather forced the doubles matches to be postponed until Wednesday.

"The boys didn't play their best tennis, but were able to win five out of six singles matches," Cowley head coach Manuel Raga said. "We have another opportunity today to keep improving day by day and to compete for a spot in the semifinals."
