The Pima Community College volleyball team (8-19, 2-13 in ACCAC) fell on the road at South Mountain Community College (17-12, 6-9) on Wednesday in Phoenix.
The Aztecs lost in straight sets to the Cougars 25-16, 25-15, 25-20.
Sophomore Aubrey Lomeli (St. Mary's HS) finished the match with seven kills, eight digs and one ace. Freshman Trae Johnson (Highland HS) posted six kills with nine digs while freshman Kylee Ashment (Highland HS) posted five kills and four blocks. Freshman Mattea Reeb (Mountain View HS) had 29 assists and six digs.
The Aztecs split the regular season head-to-head with the Cougars. Pima won in straight sets last month at the West Campus Gym.
The Aztecs will close out the regular season on Friday at Mesa Community College. The match starts at 7:00 p.m.
