The men's basketball team opened up their second half of the season on Monday at Mohawk Valley. The Raiders fell to the Hawks 83-54. Matthew Boyle led with 18 points and Javan Johns added 10 points and 11 rebounds.
On Wednesday evening, FM hosted the visiting Twins from Columbia-Greene. The Raiders got out to a 17-14 lead midway through the first half. The Twins went on a 9-0 run to take the lead 23-17, but Okoe Narh converted on back to back threes to tie the game at 29. FMCC took a 46-45 lead heading into half time.
In the second half, Ashton Pardie opened up with the hot hand and FM took a 59-55 lead. Down the stretch both teams kept it close and Terrell Evans was able to tie the game at 76. With 22.2 seconds remaining Columbia-Greene hit a deep three to go up 85-84 and FM was unable to recover, suffering the 85-84 loss.
Javan Johns had a big day with 21 points, 21 rebounds and 5 assists. Pardie had 20 points and Matthew Boyle had 17.
FMCC will next host Corning Community College on Saturday, January 25th at 3:00 p.m.
