Apache Ladies defeat Coastal Bend 81-51

BEEVILLE - The Apache Ladies (8-1, 1-0 Region XIV) scored an 81-51 victory over Coastal Bend College (4-6, 0-2).

Sky'lynn Holmes led the Apache Ladies with 17 points, followed by Nautica Grant (14) and Catherine Okwilagwe (11).

The Apache Ladies return to play on Saturday for their final home game of 2016. TJC meets Angelina College at 2 p.m. at Wagstaff Gymnasium. It is the first game of a doubleheader as the men's teams meet at 4 p.m.

In other Region XIV women's games on Wednesday: Jacksonville defeated Paris 72-64, Kilgore downed Blinn 65-54, Bossier Parish edged San Jacinto 78-73 and Panola topped Angelina 97-85.
