The Bobcats Hold off The Statesmen of Richard Bland CC 76-49
Norfolk, VA – Bryant & Stratton College Men's Varsity basketball team returned home Wednesday night following the Lady Bobcats for the 8pm start time. The (7-8) Bobcats hosted and took the win over the (1-6) Statesmen of Richard Bland CC.
In the first half, both teams were neck-in-neck going into the half with the Bobcats on top by 2pts, 29-27. Leland Richardson led Bryant & Stratton to victory with 13 pts on the night, Tahjay Jacobs, Tisheed Jones and JaJa Davis contributed 12, 11 and 10 points, respectively. Standing at #6 in the conference, the Bobcats conference record now (7-8), trailing Davidson County CC at (7-7).
The Statesmen couldn’t gain the lead the entire night. With help from their sophomores, Sterling Carrington led the offense with 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Marvin Trotman finished with 12 points.
Next up: The Bobcats are on the road to Kinston, NC for a match up against (3-11) Lenoir CC Monday, February 11th. Game time at 6pm.
