RedTail Men’s Golf Competes in Iowa Central Invite

The RedTails traveled to Fort Dodge on Monday, September 11, placing fourth in the Iowa Central Invite with an overall team score of 319.

Bruno Marti Jimenez tied for ninth place overall, shooting 76. Tristan Sorgenfrey was one stroke behind Jimenez, shooting a score of 77 and tying for 13th place. Mauricio Jiminez shot a total of 81 and placed 28. Kaeden Anderson tied for 45th, shooting 85. Emil Christensen shot a total of 89, tying for 57th place. 

Competing individually was Will Steege, placing fifth with a score of 74. Oskar Kahr tied for 36th, shooting a total of 83. Bodie Goddard was just three strokes behind Kahr with a total score of 86, tying for 48th place. Andrew Jones shot 90 and tied for 59th and Bryce Borseth tied for 69th, shooting a score of 99.

Head coach Micah Destival had some positive words after Monday's invite.

"Very disappointing day today, but those happen from time to time, luckily we are able to play a couple times more this week to find our games again and most likely will," he said. "Will Steege played a nice round today as did Bruno and Tristin."

The RedTails next invite will be Friday and Saturday, September 15-16, at the Irv Warren Golf Course in Waterloo, for the Battle of Waterloo Invite.
