Lady Bulldogs fall to Dyersburg, Tenn., 6-1 and 7-5

DYERSBURG, Tenn. --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs battled here Sunday but fell twice to Dyersburg Community College, 6-1 and 7-5.

In game one, Katie Dana fell to 1-1 on the season. She pitched five innings and gave up six runs on six hits with two strikeouts and one walk. Malita Chaffier went one inning and had one walk and one strikeout.  Shelby Lindsay and Madilyn Manor each had a double.

In game two, Jessica Mitchell fell to 0-2 on the season. She went five innings and gave up six runs on 10 hits with one strikeout. Dana went one inning and gave up one run on one hit with one walk. Mitchell had a three-run homerun while Lindsay added a solo homerun. Kailey Chachere had a double.

Holmes is set to play Southwest Tennessee on Tuesday in Memphis at 1/3 p.m. weather permitting.
