Hollins has Day to Remember

Sophomore infielder "Bubba" Hollins has a day to remember hitting four home runs in the teams 15-7 win against South Florida State College.  Hitting a solo shot to leadoff the second inning help set the tone for the very offensive game putting the team up 2-0.  His second shot came with 1-out in the fourth inning, another solo shot that set the score at 3-1.  After a leadoff single by Freshman Alex Dominguez hollins hit his third shot sending a 2-2 count over the left centerfield fence in the 6th inning, tying a school record for three home runs in a game.  The record setting home run came on a 1-2 count with Dominguez on first base putting the team up 14-7.

Coach Beckman had this to say following the game, "College baseball games are all about creating memories.  Bubba and his teammates will remember this game for the rest of their lives.  After having a difficult series against Polk Bubba showed alot of maturity to stick with the process and he was rewarded with positive results today."

The Titans return home from a 3 game spring break road trip as they take on South Florida State, Monday night at the Joe DiMaggio Complex in Clearwater.  The game starts at 6p and seating is limited.
