Five-time national champ Bartnovskaya inducted into HOF

Charlotte, NC – The NJCAA has announced its newest member of the NJCAA Coaches Association Track & Field Hall of Fame. Former Vincennes (IN) standout Natalia Bartnovskaya will be inducted at the NJCAA Indoor Track & Field Championship on March 2 in Pittsburg, KS.

A five-time NJCAA national champion for the Trailblazers, Bartnovskaya competed for Vincennes from 2011-12 where she became the first female in any sport to win a national title.

Bartnovskaya’s success was found in a pair of events- the pole vault and long jump. The current NJCAA record holder in both the indoor and outdoor pole vault event, Bartnovskaya captured both the indoor and outdoor national championship in 2011 and 2012. Bartnovskaya’s indoor record currently stands at 14-¼ (4.30m) while her outdoor record set in 2012 remains at 13-9¾ (4.21m). A two-time runner-up in the long jump event, Bartnovskaya took home the indoor national championship in 2012 with a mark of 5.66m.

Following a standout career for the Trailblazers, Bartnovskaya extended her collegiate career at the University of Kansas where she captured the 2013 NCAA indoor pole vault national championship. A runner-up finish in the event in the 2013 outdoor national championship helped the Jayhawks take home the team title. For her efforts at Kansas, Bartnovskaya was inducted to the Kansas Jayhawk Hall of Fame in 2018.
