The NJCAA Women's Soccer Players of the Week were announced Wednesday by the NJCAA National Office for all matches played during Week 8 of the season – Oct. 10-16.
Division I honors were presented to Jones County (Miss.) sophomore defender Ashleigh Lewis and Monroe CC (N.Y.) sophomore goalkeeper Caitie Broderick. Lewis netted six goals and added an assist on the week, while Broderick tallied 13 saves and a shutout of No. 9 and previously unbeaten Parkland (Ill.).
Eastfield (Texas) freshman midfielder Yesenia Calvillo was named DIII Player of the Week after totaling three goals and two assists in three critical victories for the Harvesters. Herkimer (N.Y.) freshman M’Kenzie Bradshaw took the division’s goalie award after tallying 20 saves and defeating No. 7 Genesee.
