Felder named Spalding® DIII Men's Player of the Year

Charlotte, NC - Derrick Felder has been named the 2019 Spalding NJCAA Division III Men's Basketball Player of the Year. 

The sophomore guard led Herkimer to capture their first NJCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship since 1991.  Felder was instrumental in the championship win, posting a game-high 23-points in the final game.  This performance earned Felder tournament MVP honors.  The Generals finished the season with a 31-1 record.  

Felder was a strong force for Herkimer all season, leading the Generals to capture the second NJCAA Region III championship during his tenure.  He also led the Generals in three major statistical categories - points per game, assists per game, and steals per game.
