COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -The NJCAA National Office announced Wednesday the Football Players of the Week for games played in Week 3 of the season – Sept 4-10.
Jamal Scott of Independence (KS) rushed for 180 yards and two scores in an upset win over defending NJCAA champs Garden City. Rochester’s (MN) Brandon Perce racked up 19.5 tackles, including 6.5 for a loss to earn Defensive Player of the Week honors while Alfredo Marquez of Scottsdale (AZ) totaled 13 points in a 57-20 win for the Fighting Artichokes.
