CUTHBERT, Ga. -- Roman Oliu tossed 6 innings of shutout ball, allowing just 3 hits, while striking out 3, Chris Schwarzer doubled, tripled, scored a run and drove in 1, while Mike Branche doubled twice, scored a run and also drove in 1, as the Tigers pitched their second straight shutout and played error-free defense in knocking off GCAA foe ABAC 5-0 at the Hord Athletic Complex on Friday night.
Josh Peters went 2 for 4 and Logan Foster knotched his 1st save of the year, pitching a scoreless 1.2 innings.
The win puts the Tigers at 2-0 in the GCAA and raised their overall record to 15-14 for the year. The Tigers finish out the four games series with ABAC with a doubleheader on Saturday at Hord, first game at 1:00 pm.
