Pennsville, NJ. - The Salem Community College softball team continued their hot streak winning it's 11th and 12th games in a row as the Mighty Oaks beat Middlesex College. With the wins the Mighty Oaks move to an impressive 14-4 on the season.
Game 1
Game one saw the Mighty Oaks offense score early and often as the team amassed 15 hits with 6 of them being extra base hits. Ella Hayes continued her hot streak 3 for 3 with a home run, 5 RBI and 4 runs scored. Hayes has now homered in 4 of her last 5 games. Joining the hit parade was Callie Rozak going 3 for 4 with a home run, with 4 RBI and 3 runs scored. Sophomore outfielder also continued her strong season going 3 for 4 with a home run, an RBI and 3 runs scored. Cailtin LaGreca and Morgan Mecham combined on the mound for the win.
Game 2 was forfeit.
Salem will be back in action when they travel to Sussex Community College Friday March 29 for a double-header. First pitch for game one is scheduled for 1:00PM.
