Men’s Basketball Falls at Niagara

SANBORN, NY… The number 13 D3 nationally ranked Genesee Community College men's basketball team fell short in their season opener to the #3 ranked D2 Niagara County Community College Thunderwolves 89-83 Saturday afternoon.

Damani Hinks scored a game-high 28 points to lead the Cougars offense. Hinks also picked up five rebounds and dished out five assists. Wayne Longmore scored 12 points and nine rebounds, while Deontay Sprattley scored 11. The Cougars outscored the Thunderwolves 48-36 in the second half, but the rally wasn't enough to overcome the 18-point deficit the Cougars faced.

Genesee will finish their two-game road trip on Sunday afternoon at Erie Community College. Tip-off is scheduled for 1pm in Downtown Buffalo.
