The Highland Men's basketball winning streak came to an end Saturday afternoon in Norfolk, NE after a hot shooting Hawks team of Northeast Community College defeated the Scotties 81-73.

Highland led after the first half by one, 44-43, but the hot shooting hands of Steve Wooten and Moses Byekwaso in the second half helped lift the Hawks past the Scotties.

The Hawks shot 54% from the floor and 38% from the three-point line while going 83% from the charity stripe. They held the Scotties to 39% from the floor.

Ryan Haskins led the Scotties in scoring with 17-points, going 5-10 from three-point land.
Holden Redparth posted 16 points and five assists while
James Caldwell added 14 points and grabbed six rebounds.

Highland heads into the break with an 11-5 overall record. They are back in action on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at home taking on On Point Academy at 6:00pm.
