Women’s Basketballs Makes Comeback Against McCook 75-74

CHEYENNE, Wyoming – The Laramie County women's basketball team (9-16) came back after trailing seven to defeat McCook Community College 75-74 Saturday afternoon in a South Sub outing.

The Golden Eagles will face Northeastern Junior College at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the RAC.

LCCC held McCook to 12 points in the first quarter as the Golden Eagles led the visitors 18-12. Madison Hamm (Fort Collins, Colorado) connected on the first of two free throws early in the second quarter pushing the lead. McCook would then get some rhythm going and outscore LCCC 21-9 in the quarter and sported a 33-27 advantage at intermission.

Both team soared on a runs of their own in the third period and MCC lead 53-46 heading to the fourth.

The Golden Eagles were able to put together a strong comeback in the fourth and completed the comeback as LCCC glided to the 75-74 victory.

Hamm recorded 20 points in the effort and pulled down 10 rebounds while Caylin Arnold (Strasburg, Colorado) saddled a double-double as well with 19 points and 12 rebounds.
