Golden Rams Swept by Chesapeake College

Golden Rams Swept by Chesapeake College

The Golden Rams took the field for a doubleheader in hopes of picking up their first win of the season against Chesapeake College (MD).

In game one, Chesapeake College mowed down the first five Golden Ram batters until Ana Doran (So, Big Lake H.S.) put the first ball in play for a two-out single. Unfortunately, nothing came of Ana's base hit and the Golden Ram offense was neutralized until the last inning.

Only three Golden Ram players were able to get on base before two runs were scored in the top of the fifth inning.

Kaylee Lofboom pitched in a losing effort and the defense struggled to find her much support. The final score read Chesapeake College 17 Anoka-Ramsey 2.

Game two didn't get much better offensively as the Golden Rams struggled to move runners and materialize any momentum. Alexus Martin-Warren (Fr, Andover H.S.) only allowed four hits in her outing but was hurt by walks and the continued lack of defensive support. Anoka-Ramsey was shut out for the second time this trip by a score of 10-0.

Next games are tomorrow (March 15th) in Titusville, FL where the Golden Rams will take on the County College of Morris Titans (NJ) at 12pm and College of DuPage at 2pm.
