LSU-Eunice slips past Blinn men’s soccer, 1-0

EUNICE, La. — Blinn College men's soccer (4-7, 3-5) displayed a strong defense as Josh Frias recorded 17 saves in Wednesday night's road game. However, Louisiana State University-Eunice managed to slip past the Buccaneers with a 1-0 victory.

The Buccaneers had chances to score with six of 12 shots on goal, but just missed. The game was scoreless between Blinn and LSU-Eunice at the half. It wasn't until the 82nd minute that the Bengals managed to score for a 1-0 final.

Blinn will head home to resume conference play against Laredo Community College on Friday, Oct. 12, at 5 p.m. at Rankin Field.  

Blinn has competed in intercollegiate athletics since 1903 and captured 38 NJCAA national championships since 1987.
