Men’s Basketball Dominant in Win Over Lazers

BATAVIA, NY… The Genesee Community College men's basketball team continued their winning streak Tuesday night, with a 96-72 victory over the Onondaga Community College Lazers.  The win marks Genesee's fifth straight, following an 0-3 start. 

 

Zaphian Scott scored 15 points, collected nine rebounds, had two assists, two steals, and one block for the blue and gold. Wayne Longmore had a double-double, also scored 15 points for Genesee, while collecting 11 rebounds. Zak Rushdan scored 14 points and collected six rebounds. Elijah Gonzalez scored 13 points. Jaelin Brown, Jo'El King, Damani Hinks, CJ McCullum, Maurece Thompson, and Rayvon Weir all scored points for the Cougars.  

 

The Cougars scored 50 points in the paint and scored 13 points off of Onondaga turnovers.  

 

Genesee (5-3, 4-1) returns home on Saturday, December 2 for a 3pm tipoff against Cayuga Community College. The game will be streamed live on www.geneseeathletics.com
