Erie Swimmers Earn More National Championships Qualifying Times
Erie's swim programs competed at the Jamestown WNYAC meet on November 15th against three other teams. Once again, Erie's swimmers lit up the pool with many best times and National Championship qualifying times.
For the women, Izzy DeMeo placed second in the 1000 free (13:43.50 NJCAA cut) and 100 IM (1:21.20 NJCAA cut) and third in the 200 back (2:49.51 NJCAA cut). Allyson Koedel placed fourth in the 200 breast, qualifying for her first NJCAA time standard (3:24.64).
In the men's meet, Ryan Nebrich won the 1000 free (11:40.00 NJCAA cut) and 100 IM (1:04.59 NJCAA cut) and placed second in the 200 back (2:21.38 NJCAA cut). Alec Sedki won the 200 free (2:00.43 NJCAA cut) and 500 free (5:43.43 NJCAA Cut). Stu Jensen placed second in the 200 breast (2:36.66 NJCAA cut) and third in the 400 IM (5:11.80 NJCAA cut). Leo Wasch made his NJCAA standards in both the 100 free (53.13), placing first and was third in the 100 IM (1:06.89 NJCAA cut). Finally, the ERIE men's 400 medley relay qualified for the NJCAA Championships with a second-place time of 4:22.75. The relay was comprised of Alec Sedki, Josh Wier, Stu Jensen and Keo Wasch).
Their next competition will be on December 2nd at Genesee Community College starting at 1:00pm
